Vedette Day to Night + Giveaway

Sometimes, it feels as though no matter what your body type, there's something negative to be said about it. If you're not curvy, you aren't feminine or sexy enough. If you are curvy, you're "fat". There are entire industries built around maintaining a certain physique and look and the advertising intentionally targets insecurities. But I think I speak for many when I say simply "That's enough."
That's why, when I was contacted by the shape wear company Vedette to be a part of their body loving campaign, I happily agreed because I've got nothing to hide. I've styled below two looks, one for day and one for night, featuring the Tatienne body suit. It's a corset top with lace panties that accentuates good posture and is extraordinarily flattering. To find out how you can win a surprise shape wear item from Vedette, read on!

School boy blazer, J Crew (gift). Tatienne body suit, c/o Vedette. Black bralette (underneath), Forever 21. Black skinny jeans, American Eagle. Cognac boots, DV Dolce Vita. Vintage wallet used as clutch. Watch, La Mer Wanderlust Collection.

For my day time look, I took inspiration from my recent resurgence of love for tomboy style. I might have a pretty slim and athletic figure, but I don't think my petite frame makes me less attractive. My "sexy tomboy" look features enough menswear and preppy elements to balance out the corset top and incorporate my own style.

Brocade jacket, vintage. Black circle skirt, thrifted. Black tights, Target. Smoke and Mirrors purse, Frock Stock. Glittery ankle boots, Princess Vera Wang.

My night time look featured a bit more pizzazz, as I amped up the sparkly elements quite a bit. I've been enjoying all the metallics and glittery things out right now as I am quite the magpie. I thought this would be perfect for a night out dancing. The jacket and shoes add the perfect amount of sparkle to an otherwise all black outfit; but I'd still be covered up enough once I started moving about.
The pieces that I received from Vedette were high quality and satisfying. I'm always in need of things like this to wear underneath sheer dresses or slim fitting skirts. The Tatienne suit definitely fits the bill while still looking quite attractive and not feeling like a torture device.
The best part is that three people have the chance to win their very own piece of Vedette shape wear!
To enter, just follow Vedette's twitter and like their Facebook page. Leave me a comment with your name and email address to make sure that I can get in touch with you if you win! For extra entries, you can follow my blog via Google Friend Connect or Bloglovin', follow my Tumblr, or share the giveaway on your Twitter (make sure to tweet at me @trippplethread). Just leave a comment letting me know when you've done an extra entry!
The giveaway is open to international readers (excluding the Philippines) and I will choose three winners on January 16th. Good luck!
