Past Times in Plaid

Shrunken plaid blazer, J. Crew. Tulle crochet shift dress, available at Piperlime. White bubble necklace, Altar'd State. Gold belt, F21. Suede ankle boots, Target. Vintage Margaret Smith handbag. Sunglasses, Ray-Ban

Although it seems as though most of the backdrops featured in my photographs have nothing whatsoever to do with my day to day life, hunting for great locations has always been a hobby of mine. While I've been keeping my eyes pealed for particularly photogenic places for years, it's become even more fun with Patrick helping me out. Usually, there's a location in our minds that we've spotted while walking downtown, driving and listening to music, or even just places we've spotted while running errands. But often, just driving until we spot something we both respond to can be just as much fun. Seeing someone develop a photographic eye is one of the most rewarding experiences I've had when it comes to this blog.
Patrick and I rarely dress similarly on purpose, but we tend to gravitate towards some of the same things. His outfit is only enhanced by this location; I think the burgundy color complements both of our ensembles quite well.

Bow tie, vest, and shirt, all vintage. Brown straight leg pants, H&M. Argyle socks, Target. Shoes, vintage Florsheim from my step dad.
