Vintage hat (buy the same one in black here). White tank top, American Eagle. Vintage skirt. Minimal Lace-up Heels, Jeffrey Campbell + Free People. La Mer wrap watch.
This outfit felt so good it was as if it were a natural extension of myself. I've had a hard time wanting to come up with any other outfits simply because this one was so right. Perhaps that happens after seeing a certain look and wanting to replicate it; or perhaps this combination perfectly encapsulates how I want to present myself to the world. I felt at once modest and attractive, practical and graceful. I could easily get from place to place in my favorite pair of heels (I would highly recommend purchasing them if you are looking for a small investment) and the hat makes me feel like Kissin' Kate Barlow from Holes, one of my favorite movies and books of all time. Each piece has a story and even then the outfit is greater than the sum of its parts.
To top it off, this location was chosen on a complete whim. Patrick and I pulled over to get gas and just happened to find this beautiful spot behind an office building. Believe it or not, right on the other side of those trees, cars were zipping past on the interstate. I couldn't ask for a prettier place to live as these pictures don't lie: East Tennessee really is like this. When I started out of the car, I noticed two small deer grazing. Unfortunately, I only had my 50mm prime lens, but I captured some shots by getting as close to them as I could without scaring them away.
There really is nothing so great as feeling perfectly content and being surrounded by beautiful, natural surroundings. I will always remember this day.
