I feel as though a prevalent problem among my generation is that we are interested in such a wide variety of things and want to learn about it all. Of course, this has the potential to be a gift, making us widely versed in many fields. But being genuinely interested in and passionate about so many different areas is bound to get overwhelming.
All that being said, one area that I am surprised I haven't delved into yet is film noir, or "black film", the genre of movies that arose during the late 1940s and early 1950s. Just with the vague sense of the style that I did have, I created this outfit and "character" to create the above images. Stylistically, the genre seems right up my alley. Perhaps part of next week's goals will be to find some classic noir movies and let my eyes and ears and senses devour them. If you have any suggestions, feel free to send them my way in the comments section or on Twitter (@trippplethread).
