Vintage silk shirt, thrifted. Black skinny jeans, American Eagle. Great Gatsby tote, Out of Print clothing. Cognac boots, DV Dolce Vita via TJ Maxx. Black wrap watch, La Mer Collections "Wanderlust".
My closet mainly consists of pieces from thrift stores, great deals at a retail store, or something from a store like TJ Maxx. I definitely don't have scores of designer duds. Even in a season pretty much devoted to retail consumption and new clothing (hey, not saying it should be that way), my favorite things had to earn their title. They are the things I can wear again and again, even if they were found filtering through an "everything's a dollar" thrift store. I'll always have a place in my heart for bows, sequins, glitter, and the like, but sometimes I just like to strip down my style to a few of my favorite items.
