Blown Away

Floral Dress, Ruby Rox. Embroidered blazer, belt, and shoes, thrifted. Purse, Target. Agate necklace, DIY.

I'm surprised that none of these pictures show my dress billowing up around me! Yesterday, though it was quite a fun atmosphere for pictures, the winds escalated into an actual tornado later in the evening. It was pretty exhilarating running back to my dorm right before the tornado warning was issued, but only because I've never had a truly bad storm experience. I definitely feel blessed that no one I know was harmed!
Aside from the obvious staples (the shoes, watch, and belt are featured in a good deal of my outfits), the elements of my outfit today are those that usually don't get too much wear on a day to day basis. I've decided that the longer something is in rotation in my wardrobe, the more I warm up to it. This is probably the reason why I keep my clothes for around three years before attempted to do a full scale clean out!
I definitely think I'll be incorporating this necklace into my accessory repertoire way more often! What do you think?

I hope everyone from regions affected by the storms in the US yesterday is doing fine. I'm glad that the weather is supposed to be better today because I have a very fun event to cover this evening! I can't wait to share with everyone.

I have a necklace that is nearly identical! I haven't worn it really yet, but like you, I keep things in my wardrobe for quite some time so that I can figure out the best use for it later. :)

Adorable dress! Love the print! And how pretty is that necklace?! The eastern states in Australia are still recovering from widespread floods. We're very lucky in Perth, its been quite pleasant.
