Alice in Wonderland Sneak Peak

Styling, set design, and photography by yours truly. Make up by me and my friend Emma.

I am so excited to be building up a reputation on campus for having fun with photo shoots. My friends are so wonderful to help me out with my insane ideas, but they are usually thrilled to be asked to model. I am so happy with the way that everything has been going creatively in the past few weeks, but I have to admit that the physical and financial strain is a little bit exhausting. I definitely want to make it a tradition to pose with all of my models/crew because I'll definitely treasure these pictures when it comes to college memories.
Emma and Matt might not have been in costume, but they helped me out SO much setting things up, doing make up, hauling these ladies around to the locations...my gratitude is endless for all these lovely people!

New Traditions

Outfit details will be posted tomorrow!

I'm not sure what springs to mind when most people think of the word "romance", but according to my friend, Chris, the candlelit lunch of ChickFilA that Reid and I shared is the ultimate example. I've been hankering to take some pictures of tea lights for quite some time, so when Reid randomly suggested a "picnic" of one of my all time favorite meals (that's a number five, eight count, with a Dr. Pepper, if you were wondering), I quickly agreed. From picking out the candles to the copious amount of How I Met Your Mother that we watched afterwards, I had a complete blast. I would definitely say this is a new tradition in the making. What are some of your traditions, or new things that you hope become traditions?

For the Birds

Shirt, cardigan, vintage. Necklace, American Eagle. Skirt, Axyeh via Altar'd State. Rain boots, Steve Madden. Grimace on my face, c/o the downpour I got caught in.

Today must have been just "one of those days" for everyone. A girl in my peer review group for my Composition class broke down crying before we read our papers. I just bumped my head on my loft bead when getting up to check the label on my skirt. And the fact that it started raining buckets didn't help anyone's mood, I don't think.
But here's to the little things: I finished a clay piece I was working on for my drawing (yes, I know) class, my photography quiz got moved to next Monday because no one had studied, I convinced myself to contact Knoxville Fashion Week, and I made a 49/50 on my last photography assignment. So while my vintage wool sweater didn't exactly love the rain I got it stuck in (without an umbrella. The sweater now smells like a worse than a wet dog), I've gotta stay on the bright side!
The next two photos are previews of posts to come, stay tuned!
