Charlotte Taylor consistently impresses me with her designs. Although pretty new to the scene, her prints fascinate me. While the pieces themselves are pretty basic, the prints make my heart sing with their intricacy. I'm fascinated by the incorporation of literal animals into prints, as I've talked about in my post here, but what really blew me away about this collection was the story behind it. I've given the static images for your perusal on my blog, but you truly need to look at the lifelike cinemagraphs on the website. Be sure to check out the fascinating story of "Jamaican Inn" while you are at it (put into much better words than I ever could).

you have a nice layout!

put a bird on it!
ReplyDeleteThe way this collection was shot is a bit eery... but I do admit the prints are quite unique and not something I see everyday. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the kind comment you left on my blog. I didn't think anyone would even bother reading the first paragraph, so I'm touched :)
ReplyDeletenever heard of her before. the prints are amazing, and i think it's the basic shapes which make them wearable. anything intricate and fussy would be over the top.
ReplyDeletethanks for the introduction to her collection!

Is that Rosalind from Clothes, Cameras, and Coffee? :) It really looks so much like her...
ReplyDeleteThe photo interpretation of this collection really is fantastically deep, dark, and vivid. The photos are incredibly atmospheric, which I think is essential in defining the clothing. Charlotte Taylor has done it again!
