All That I Want

Cotton motorcycle jacket, Hurley (similar). White boxy tee, Gap (similar). Mystic Sands asymmetrical skirt, Ruche. Studded flats, Go Fish Clothing & Jewelry. Triangle necklace, Pac Sun. Zig zag tote, American Eagle. Black woven leather belt, thrifted.

While neutrals remain my faithful fall back no matter what the season, light layers in neutral colors are what I'm most excited about for spring. I felt right at home in this comfortable outfit. One of my favorite challenges for my style is to see how many ways I can style one basic item, such as a white tee. When you get excited about the basics, you'll never get bored of the wardrobe you already have.
I'm excited for when the weather is warm enough to consistently wear outfits that I'm excited by. The March weather in East Tennessee is finicky at best. While there are days when the temperatures make me happy to get out of bed, others bring cold wind and I'm forced to bring out my winter coats once again. While I try my hardest to appreciate each season for the natural beauty that it brings, my hands are dry and cracked from too many hours spent outside without gloves.
On the plus side, daylight savings time means that blogging pictures are much easier to fit into my schedule now. Golden hour was usually about 5:00 or 5:30, but with afternoon studio classes that stretched until 4:50, it was hard to get into gear. Now pictures are a much more relaxing experience that can be taken as late as 7:00. I often describe photographers and fashion bloggers as slaves to the daylight because of how important catching the right lighting is. That being said, I am thrilled that if the temperatures aren't perfect, the lighting is certainly getting close.

These pictures are gorgeous, and so is your outfit--I love that necklace!
I know what you mean about being slaves to daylight...it was pretty hard to fit outfit photos into my hectic schedule. Now with daylight savings time, though, there is a bit more flexibility, both in time and in choosing a setting, which is lovely. I guess that's one reason to be thankful about daylight savings time.

Just got a bunch of basic tees. Different necklines too. Can't wait to get back to some simple goodness.
