Pulling it Together

Navy utility jacket, Converse One Star from Target. Camel and orange striped cardigan, Gap. White oxford, J. Crew. White bubble necklace, Altar'd State. Mustard skinny jeans, Target. Flat studded boots, Modcloth (old). Vintage purse and leather belts, thrifted.

Sometimes, when school projects and other plans seem to be overtaking my life, my best solution is to put on a very put together outfit and take some time off. When I'm wearing a collard shirt and tailored layers, everything just seems like it is going to fall right into place. My first instinct when I need comfort from my clothing isn't to put on baggy sweaters and jeans, but rather to dress to the nines and then watch my confidence take off. I know I can accomplish anything that I want once I've slid into the perfect outfit.
That being said, my final week of classes before finals is this week. I had more stressful projects last week, but that's not to say that I'm completely finished. I'm not necessarily counting down the days until I move back home. I love Christmastime around my hometown, but to be honest I much prefer living in Maryville and on campus. It's hard to leave somewhere so picturesque.

I'm the same way! The only way for me to get moving and get things done when i'm in a rut is to dress in a wonderful outfit, it makes me so much more motivated. I love this look, the color of those trousers is so wonderful. This is also my last week of classes before finals, good luck to you!
