Vintage boyscout shirt, thrifted. High-waisted toile shorts, Uniqlo. Wanted brogues, Urban Outfitters. Fossil camera bag purse. Red patent belt, Forever 21. Red square glasses, c/o Firmoo. Collar necklace, a gift.
Although there was a chill in the air when I wore this outfit last week, the day was still pretty awesome. I had my first ever blogger meet up with the lovely Molly of delightblog.com. We spent two hours talking about school, life, and of course, fashion. I was thrilled to be able to dish about my love of certain styles and my downright abhorrence for trends (mustaches, seriously go away).
This outfit was a second round draft pick for the day. I originally kept it pretty simple and under the radar with a black tee, black cardigan, and sandals paired with the shorts. I have dished about my love of toile before and it'll continue. I just got these shorts and a dress in the same pattern from Uniqlo's collaboration with Cabbages & Roses. I woke up that morning wanting to wear the boy scout shirt and the shorts, but only thought to pair them together later in the afternoon.
Overall, I was pleased with the pairing. I wanted to pick up the red stitching from the shirt with my glasses and belt. While I could definitely imagine wearing this shirt with jeans and boots, I loved the pairing with the more prim and proper shorts.
And finally, as a side note, I love these apartments that Patrick and I stumbled across in downtown Knoxville. They are so adorable and located close to a lot of wonderful businesses downtown. If I were to stay here, I'd love to live there (if I could afford it).
I feel so lucky whenever I find cute stuff while thrifting! Lovely outfit <3
