I've learned that it takes an effort to be positive. Changes in the right direction don't just happen because you lay your head down to go to sleep and you start to think they should. Changes happen because of loads of dedication, persistence, and an extraordinary vision. I'm at a point in my life where things are going well. Sometimes I think that everything is spiraling so fast that I won't have time to catch my breath. But as a distance runner, I don't mind the feeling.
While you could say that it is a stretch to connect those thoughts to today's outfit pictures, I'd like to prove that wrong. If I had to choose one word to describe how I felt in the above ensemble it would be powerful. Just looking back at these pictures reminds me of how confident and in charge I felt the day I wore this. Those feelings have been in abundance for me lately and I wouldn't have it any other way. (Yes, I'm patting myself on the back.)
I'm refining my vision and in the process of doing so I'm doing what countless cliche advertisements tell me to do. Just Do It? You got it Nike. Grab Life By the Horns? Dodge, you know me so well. I'm in a put your nose down and go kind of mentality lately and I'm seeing the best results.
