To start off, we decided to style some pretty basic things in our wardrobes. Recently, we both picked up pairs of grey pants and we both have scores of blazers. Both things are timeless pieces that really elevate an outfit into dressier territory.
Hers:
Plaid shrunken blazer, J Crew. Green bow blouse, Tulle. Grey skinny jeans, Gap. Leather riding boots, DV Dolce Vita.
Out of all of the blazers in my wardrobe, this one has got to be a personal favorite. It's such a unique piece and pattern that I don't break it out as often as I should. But the shape and colors are perfectly suited for adding some structure to casual outfits. I rely on my black American Eagle skinny jeans whenever I am feeling more casual, but lately I've also been turning to this lovely grey pair from Gap. Jeans are one thing that I've learned to never skimp on, but I still managed to get these for a great sale price. Overall, this is the type of outfit that I normally wear to class.
His:
Light blue blazer, thrifted. White button up and black shoes, gifts. Blue and green bow tie, Tommy Hilfiger. Navy argyle socks, Target.
Patrick's style tends to be a bit more professional and polished than mine. There are days where he's more of a jeans and tee shirt kind of guy, but he is a man that really likes to dress up. Blue is his favorite color and he also tends towards bright shades, as you can see from his blazer and bow tie. His interpretation of grey pants and a blazer was a bit less casual than mine, but that's why I love this feature. Seeing items through his eyes helps me with my own outfits.
I hope you've enjoyed our first his & hers feature! Stay tuned each Friday for a new item that we've styled in our own unique way.
